Halloween 2008

Today Josh left to go hunting for 10 days... yes 10! I am not sure yet how I feel about this... I mean I am really happy for him he gets to do this but that also means no break for me at all for 10 days. I have lots of things planned out to keep me and the boys busy.

When I got up this morning Josh had left me a letter... this is HUGE for Josh. He never does things like this... it made my day, made my month... heck it made my year!!! It was real simple and had a little part for the boys but I was so happy he did that.

Jace is off to school in his Batman costume... he has a party this morning which I have volunteered to help out at. Then this afternoon my SIL and I are taking the kids around town to the safe and sane trick or treating and then this evening it is just to grandparents and friends houses. I love Halloween... mainly because the boys love it so much, but it is always a really good day!

The boys and my super cute nephew (or super cute peanut).

One of my favorite times of the day!

This really isn't my favorite part of the day but it is high on the list! And not just because they are finally quiet and I have some me time but because I am reminded how precious they are. I really do know that they are gifts from god and I try not to forget that... but sometimes it is hard!

I love to watch them sleep... I can go sit on there floor and just watch them sleep. They never know I do it but I do it every night and then kiss them on the forehead. I sure do love these little guys and I have no idea what I would do without them ( I really can't remember what it was like before I had them... must have been pretty boring!).

Craft Day

I have decided to start a craft day with the boys 1 time a week. We are here at the house so much we really needed something creative to do with our time. Now let me start by saying this is NOT easy for me... I am the least crafty person you will ever meet. SERIOUSLLY!!! Luckily there is a thing called the internet... with lots of neat crafty ideas.

Now the 2 we did today I did actually do on my own... no help from the internet. BUT... they were the simplest things in the world. I really really wish I was more creative and crafty!

Even Uncle Jake came by and did crafts with us!!

And... the finished product.

I just noticed in the pic above it looks like Jake has a cigarette in his mouth... it is not! It is a sucker.

Ry's Halloween party

Today Ry had his preschool Halloween party... those kids are so darn cute!!! This year she did more games and prizes like pumpkins, pencils and granola bars. I thought that was so great... they get so much candy as it is.

This pic below is a pic of Rylan and his friend Jeffrey.... Jeffrey and Rylan started daycare together when they were about 9 months old and they have been best friends ever since. When they were still in daycare together they would eat together, sleep together and play together. Jeffrey started calling Rylan... Riley Roo.

This is a pic of another one of Rylans good friends Cameron... Cameron is the son of Joshs best friend Randy. Randy and Josh have been best friends since they were in 4th grade. It is really cool that Rylan and Cameron are only 2 months apart.

A super fun girls day!

So I will start off by saying I remembered to take my camera with me.... but totally forgot I had it and didn't take 1 picture.... ugg!

Yesterday was my SIL's baby shower... it was alot of fun. She is due the end of Novemeber and does not know what she is having... that always makes it so fun. I didn't know what I was having when I had Jace, it was so exciting. We played games, opened gifts and had really yummy cake!

After we left we decided to get some Christmas shopping in so me, my 2 SIL's, MIL and grandma in law all went to Target... Grandma in law got on one of those riding things and for some reason we really found it comical. I think we all laughed pretty much the whole time we were in the store. It was so much fun.

After that we were hungry so me and 2 SIL's headed over to Olive Garden and had a super yummy dinner.

All in all it was just a really fun day!

The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday my SIL and I met up and took the boys (hers and mine) to the Pumpkin Patch. They have this really cool little pumpkin patch and corn maze over outside of Marsing. The corn maze was really cool it was interactive and you got clues from Nursery Ryhme characters along the way (although we soon found out those characters were liars most of the time and led us to dead ends). It was alot of fun though. The second corn maze had signs inside of it that told you different facts about the counties in Idaho... pretty cool!

We got to take a hay ride around the farm and with all the fall colors in bloom is was so beautiful and very peaceful. We even got to meet a horse named Riley... My Riley was pretty excited about that.

After all that we got to go into the pumpkin patch and pick out a couple of pumpkins... this is a super hard decision for 2 young kids. But they ended up getting a couple really good ones.

All in all it was a really fun day and I was shocked my 9 month old super cute nephew did so well... it took quite a while to do all those things and not once did he fuss... he is such a good boy!

Not much to blog about

The last 4-5 days I have been soooo sick. I bascially have done nothing but slept. I actually feel pretty good today but man that was one bad flu!! Not a whole lot has been going on... the boys spent the weekend at grandmas and Aunt Julies and then Sunday with Josh... he took them out of the house so I could recoup one more day.

Today Ry had his field trip to the Fire Station and I made sure my batteries were good and charged and then I FORGOT MY CAMERA.... I could not believe it!! It was fun he was a little scared of the ambulance but overall he had a good time.

I do have pics to put on other postings but keep forgetting to get my camera cord from work... hopefully i can remember to do that tomorrow!

If this family has one more medical isssue.....

Yesterday around 4pm I started noticing that I had a dull achy pain in my lower abdomen... at first it was kindof annoying and I really didn't think much of it. But as the day preogressed it got worse and worse. About 8pm last night I had so much pain it hurt to walk and I was also getting incredibly sick to my stomach. Josh and I decided it must be appendicitis and I should go in. About 9:30 we arrived in Meridian at the ER and I was taken back almost immediately. They started running some tests and filled my IV full of anti-nausea and Moriphine. Several hours later all tests came back good and the Dr. told me that there is a really nasty flu going on right now where the main symptom is massive stomach pain. He said it is difficult because it is also the same symptoms as appendicitis. So they sent me home at 2am with pain meds and anti nausea medicine.

So now I am sitting here rather loopy waiting for my Norco and anti-nausea (both make you very drowsy) to kick in so I can get back to bed for awhile. I HAVE had it with medical issues!!

A quiet weekend

On Thursday Josh and Jace left to go hunting... so it was just Ry and I for the weekend. On Friday we met up with my SIL to go get a baby gift for my other SIL... it is crazy I have 2 SIL's expecting right now. There is gonna be lots of new babies in the family soon. Anyway - we went over to town and just mainly "hung out". We both stay at home right now and it was really great to get out of the house. Friday evening Ry and I watched "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and then went to bed early.

On Saturday we baked CC cookies and took them over to Aunt Julie and Uncle Tyrel and spent most of the day hanging out with them.... Julie came over Saturday night and we watched a movie... which I was sorely disappointed with. I thought it would be much better!

It is now Sunday and we really have no plans. Need to get the house cleaned before the boys get home from hunting. Josh called me yesterday and said it had snowed 5" where they are at. He said it is freezing and miserably cold.... but even that won't stop them hunters!!

I love Jace soooo much and I wouldn't trade him or his personality for the world... but man this weekend sure has been easy and quiet!

A Long Long day!

Today I woke up at 4AM in order to get Jace to the Meridian Hospital by 6AM... he had his "surgery" today. He had to have some dental work done and he is TERRIFIED of dentists. So he had to go completely under anesthsia in order to have the work done. Anytime you go under there is risks. I was really nervous but he did great! No problems and we were on our way home by 9:30 AM. He was soo groggy though he was actually kindof funny to watch. We just took it easy today not doing much of anything.

Josh got home this evening from work and he and Jace headed up to go hunting... it is so cold out I was really worried that Jace would freeze but luckily Joshs best friend took his camper so if it gets to cold Jace can go in there. Now it is just Riley and I for the whole weekend... I am really excited for that. I love the one on one time with my boys! Although I get it alot more with Ry cuz Jace is defenitely daddys boy.... I love it with each of them.

And now... I really need to go to bed. Being up since 4 is def. taking its tole on me. I no longer have little babies and am use to getting alot more sleep. So I think it will be an early night for Ry and I!

A good deed?? Not sure on that one yet!

Yesterday, I got a phone call from a co-worker. She was laid off... kind of. Her SIL who she works with, was going to be laid off. So she gave up her job, so her SIL (who just found out she is having a baby) could keep hers (and continue her insurance). This is the most selfless act I have seen in a very long time. It has renewed my faith that there are still those out there who are willing to sacrifice... in BIG WAYS! This was a huge lesson for me! What a great example!

This was written on a friend and co-worker of mines blog. I felt the need to record this in my own since she is talking about me! There is always so much negativity going on in the world this made me feel so good for her to post this about me... I really did not see it as a selfless act... I would hope if things were flopped it would be different. I really try to believe that people will make the right decision in life and this just really felt right. And I really had no desire to work FT (which is what they wanted). Although I think Julie is having second thoughts about staying on and taking on all the work.... i wasn't going to leave her high and dry with no income or insurance. I would not feel good as a person!! And there is not many things I wouldn't do for Julie... she has been a great friend and a wonderful SIL and Aunt to my boys.

Hopefully this is only temporary (they say it is) and I will be back to work in a few months... or sooner if the stress is to much for Julie. But at least I can walk away knowing I made a decision that truely will impact someones life in a positive way.

The ideal me....

The ideal me...Rules: if you're tagged, make sure to add one more ideal "thing" to the list, besides the items that are already there. Be as descriptive and random and silly as you want.

My ideal...

Snack: Apple slices with LOTS of peanut butter (you know so it is no longer healthy) but all the apple slices to myself... no kids taking them and puttting dirty fingers in my Peanut Butter.

Day: Wake up and spend all day with the 3 of my boys... a long drive to the mtns., a picnic lunch and lots of exploring then a nice dinner out on the way home. (luckily I get this day alot)

Book: I love to read... my ideal book is anything by Dean Koontz or Stephen King.

Weather: a nice 70 degree day... in the mtns.

Music: I can't say my ideal music because I love all kinds of music. Maybe something that me and my boys can dance to.

Vacation: with my boys... just up in the mtns. camping where time is not an issue and you do whatever you want. For me and hubby... cruise to Alaska. For me and friends... a few days in Vegas or NYC.

I Tag... noone... i need to get some friends with blogs!!!

What a week....

I haven't posted this week because mainly it has been too crazy! There has been alot of "drama" going on in my life that is extremely unnecessary and quite ridiculous! I am slowly having to learn the hard way to let things go that I cannot change... but along with that comes people too and that is really hard for me to do but since coming to the decision of not associating with complete ridiculousness (is that a word) I finally feel some peace! And it is really great to have a husband who is supporting every move along the way. Acutally I think I am more supporting his decisions.

On another note... We just got some terrible news about Joshs Aunt... she went in this morning to have part of her colon removed as she has been diagnosed with colon cancer and they found it in her pancreas. Pancreatic cancer is horrible... almost always terminal. I am really praying right now that she will be one of the "miracles". It does happen... and i think that is something you need to cling to.

And one more thing... I got the boys costumes today. They are so cute... especially Riley Roo, he is adorable as a little pirate! I will post a pic on here when I get back to work on Monday.
