More vacation

On Tuesday we headed to Seaside... what a cool town! The promenade was awesome and had so many little "junk" shops I could have spent days there just browsing them. We stayed in a cottage on the beach which was soooo amazing! We rode the bumper cars and carousel and ate clam chowder in a bread bowl on the beach.

On Wednesday we headed to Newport, OR. Let me just say Josh LOVES this town... which is surprising because it is a HUGE city. He is already talking about moving here someday... so NOT Josh! We walked by the ocean on the boardwalk and watched the ships come in. We were planning on leaving Thursday and heading for Florence but ended up staying here another night and today we went crabbing on a boat! We had soooo much fun and caught about 50 crab for 13 of us on the boat. We met this really cool family from Scottsdale, AZ and one of the ladies with them was about 65 I would guess and her and Rylan connected like I have never seen before. By the end of the trip they were best friends (Ry told her EVERYTHING about our lives... including the fact he had "really bad diarrhea" last year) and she told me as we were leaving "You have a very special little boy that really has touched my heart"... she then gave Ry a hug and left a little teary eyed. I will post a picture of them together when I get back. Even her husband told me how special he was... of course I already knew that :)

We are headed to Bend tomorrow and then headed home on Saturday... what an awesome trip it has been!

Vacation - Day 3

Today we went to the Portland zoo and it was sooo much fun! They have some really cool animals there!

We thenheaded North to the coast.... we went through Astoria, OR which is a really cool town and I wish we could spend a full day at all these little coastal towns. Tonight we are in Long Beach, WA and I am sitting 200 yards from the ocean listening to the waves roll in.... it is BEAUTIFUL! Seeing my boys see the ocean for the 1st time was an amazing experience.

Tomorrow.... it is time to head down the OR coast... I am betting we don;t make it far, too much to see!!

Our vacation -day 1 and 2

Well I forgot my camera cord so I will have to go back and add pictures.

Yesterday we left and headed towards Portland. We stayed at an awesome little town called Cascade -Locks, OR.. right on the Columbia River. Our balcony in our room sat right by the river and right underneath a bridge called Bridge of the Gods, which led into Stevenson, WA. We went across the bridge and had dinner at a place called the Crab Shack which was also on the river.

We left this morning and headed to Portland... we stopped at the Bonneville fish hatchery and saw a 900 lb sturgeon. As we were walking back to the car Ry fell and smacked his head on the ground, he has quite a goose egg and road rash. After that we went to OMSI... which was alot of fun! We then decided to take the freeway into Vancouver, WA and had to cross the I-5 bridge. There was a "jumper" there and traffic was unreal... the police had it completely stopped going the other direction... so we made it across but had to take a detour and it took us 2 hours to get back to out hotel. We are now in our room watching a movie and getting ready for the zoo tomorrow and heading to Long Beach, WA.

The Big 3-0

Ok.. I know most people are like 30 is so young but when you are 29... 30 seems a bit old! Although I truley belive you are only as old as you feel and I feel no different now then I did when I was 21... just a few more pounds and scars!

Yesterday was my 30th b-day and what a GREAT day it was. I got so many phone calls and emails it really made my day! Josh took me out to lunch AND dinner and we went to my favorite place... the Mona Lisa! Josh got me a 3 month pass to the massage place... yes a 3 month pass!!! My favorite massage therapist is gone though:(. Thats ok though... I am not to perticular who is massaging me!

My sister in law got me the sweetest card (made me cry) and some cupcake holders which I have been saying for a year now that I want... awesome how she listened to me and did that!

All in all it was such a good day!! Ry told me he is going to get me an easy bake oven and a chef hat... then asked me if I could buy it for myself cuz he didn't want to spend his own money on it, gotta love the honesty of kids!

So hard

Overall our puppies have been really healthy and been thriving until today. We are down to the last 4 pups so my brother-in-law has been keeping them at his place since he is really set up for breeding pups. He called me this morning and said "Call the vet... your little boy is not doing good." He brought him to me and there was no question he has Parvo... he won't move and has been throwing up and having diarrhea all day.

Josh and I of course immediately started talking about what we were going to do... we have had a dog that had parvo before and we saved her but it wasn't easy or cheap by any means. It took a massive amount of care and money to pull her out of it. Josh is wondering if it is worth it to do for this pup... I know how he is feeling and I know he is not being heartless, he just knows that even if we do everything and he pulls through we won't be able to sell him so then what do we do!? Me on the other hand... I can't just let this pup die... it is not in me. I don't care how much money or care it takes, it is just not in me to let this little guy go without a fight. So we are fighting and we will see what happens. He has been on my lap pretty much all day... now my concern is, WHEN he makes it how am I ever gonna let him go :)
