T-ball, my -day and a lost tooth

My Birthday was yesterday and it really did not feel like it at all! I had to go to a funeral... seems weird attending a funeral on your b-day and that pretty much emotionally drained me for the day.

Jace had a t-ball game last night.. Josh is coaching this year and it has really been alot of fun. I have really come to like some of these kids on our team. Our last game is Thursday and I am gonna miss them. T-ball is so much fun to watch... these kids have attention spans of... well... a 5 year old. We only play for one hour because they are sooo ready to go by then.

After we got done with the game we stopped by Uncle Jeff's house. Jace was out playing frisbee with the dogs and 1 jumped up and smacked him in the mouth... he immedialtely started screaming and when i got closer to him i could see the amount of blood coming out of his mouth. I looked in there and found his front tooth had been knocked out. Luckily it is his baby tooth and shouldn't cause any permanent damage.

My Birthday

So tomorrow is my 29th b-day.... this one is really bothering me because the next one will be 30 and I so do not want to turn 30. But like it or not it will come (at least i hope so). So for my birthday this year Josh asked me what I wanted.... I told him the only thing I wanted was for him to take me somewhere for dinner but for him to plan it. He totally came through, he had planned for the boys to go to the circus with their aunt Friday night and he took me to dinner and a movie.... I was so thrilled, that was so unlike Josh!

We had a really great time.... we actually spent all day Friday just him and I.... it was a great day!

Incredible athletes

On Sunday I volunteered to help with an aid station for the 1st annual Ironman Competition. Since we are coaching t-ball this year they asked if I would volunteer and if we could get 40 people there the Homedale Youth Sports program would get $1000.00 for there program. I reluctantly agreed to go and moped about it all weekend. I ended up having so much fun! These athletes are absolutely amazing..... so inspiring! I was on the part of the race where they ran so it was the last leg of the 70.3 mile race which started with swimming, then biking, then the run. By the time the athletes reached us they were dilusional... there bodys were pushed to the max. The winner finished it in 3 hours 53 minutes... a 70.3 mile race in less then 4 hours... amazing!!!

I didn't get any pics (forgot my camera) but i hope i get to do it again next year!!!

A not so winning weekend...

We went to Jackpot last weekend with Joshs parents. I had so much fun with them.... they were such a blast! We even went to a concert for a group called "Hermans Hermits"... now I had never heard of this group and was not really excited to go but it was the best concert I have ever seen (and I have been to hundreds of concerts). We came home with having had a great time but definetely not winning any money.

The boys stayed home and got to spend 1/2 the time with there Aunt Jessy (which they really treasure since Aunt Jessy had a baby 4 months ago and they don't get the time with her like they used to) and the other 1/2 with there Aunt Julie whom Riley calls "his other parents". They got tp play in the water at Aunt Jessy's... here is Jace posing:

I called Julie and asked her while she had them if she could buzz there heads cuz their hair was getting a bit long.... I meant with like a #3 attachment. I came home to find my kids looking like they had become diseased. We all had a really good laugh about that one:

Graduation

My oldest grduated from preschool last night. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone... he is starting kindergarten next year. I remember 1 month after he was born and we went and bought a new vehicle and the loan was for 6 years and I told Josh this will be paid off the year Jace starts kindergarten.... at the time it seemed like that would be forever.... like it was so unattainable, looking back that seems like it was just last year.

I promised his preschool teacher (who is awesome) that i would not cry... she said you better not cuz if you do I will too. I did great up until the part where she spoke about each child... she got to Jace and said "Jace is one of my favortie kids I have ever had (no... she didn't say that about all the kids), he is hardworking and a great friend to everyone... I lost it, I am just so proud of him. I have raised him to be nice to all kids and have a good heart and she confirmed to me that he does. So now on to kindergarten and my youngest will start preschool this year.... they are growing up way to fast!!

This was his teacher talking so nice about him

First camping trip.....

After the HORRIBLE week we had we decided we would take the boys camping for the weekend and just get away. We should have known our bad luck was not over yet! It started out good enough but as soon as we turned to head up the Mtn. to Lost Lake we hit snow and I mean we hit snow.... like feet of snow. This is the campground we normally stay at:

After leaving there Josh said let's go up the Mtn aways and see what we can find... what we found was a bunch of snow drifts and rather then turning around we tried to go through one of them with the trailer and 4 wheeler on the back..... needless to say we did not make it! We were stuck.. not a little stuck... alot stuck! Josh had to go get help and 3 hours later we were free! By this point I wanted to go home but the boys really wanted to camp.

We found the only 1/2 dry campground on the Mtn and set up camp..... I knew our luck had to turn around at some point????? The next day some friends of ours suprised us and showed up... that was really cool! But they should have known the luck we were having.... the boys took the kids while her and I stayed at camp and got stuck..... again. This time though the handlebars top our friends 4 wheeler broke off. We got back to camp finally and called it a night pretty early.

We headed out yesterday and actually considering had a really good time... we can look back now and laugh!

What a weekend......

On Thursday all the problems I have been medically having finally came to a head... they admitted me to the hosiptal for a blood transfusion because I was so anemic.... NOT FUN! They released me on Friday and on Saturday I noticed Jaces side of his face was swollen... I ran him into Urgent Care and they said he had cellulitis and gave him a shot of antibiotics and said he should feel better tomorrow and if he is worse take him to the ER ASAP. Well Sunday morning (Mothers day) he came in my room and woke me up and looked like he had been in a school yard fight... he was so swollen his eye was almost swollen shut, so off we go to the ER where the hooked him up to an IV and did a CT scan and came back with the same diagnosis... cellulitis. Tomorrow he goes to a specialist to figure out the next step and I am really hoping he doesn't wake up tomorrow morning even more swollen.

I cannot wait to get these 2 hospital bills.... I am sure this weekend will cost us a fortune!!!
