Friday was Joshs last Friday off until next Spring... so he decided to take the boys and go to the hills for the day and I got to have the day to myself. They had so much fun with there dad and even got to bring home some gravel to mine and see if they could get rich! I got to go to the movies with Julie and watch The House Bunny (great movie but you don't have to use any brain at all).

A fun filled weekend for the boys...
On Saturday we got up and headed for a full day of the Fair. I could not believe it but Jace didn't want to go... instead he wanted to hang out with his dad and shoot his BB gun... can you believe a 5 year old not wanting to go to the fair?! That is crazy... but Rylan and I had sooo much fun just spending the day together.
Rylan called this pig on the carousel a chocolate pig!On Sunday we had a lazy day... although I did make some homemade salsa and fried green tomatos... yummy!!

So happy!
Last night I got to do something I have wanted to do for along time..... I got to see the man I am going to run away with someday. :) No but really I got to go see Gary Allan... I absolutely love his music... I have loved his music since his very first album (and let's not forget a total hottie). They were having a free concert at the fair and I got to go watch him!! It was a great concert... extremely packed but very good. He was just as good looking and great sounding in person.

A sad day for mom
Today was a sad day for me! Today was the day Jace started Kindergarten. I really never thought this day would come.... i thought about it when he was a toddler (somedays wanting it to come.... other days hoping it would never come) but it always just seemed so far away. I was told by someone that once school starts the time seems to fly by.... which I can't imagine it going any faster then the last 6 years have gone. I hope that is not true (but know it is). If the next 6 years go by as fast as these 6 years he will be in Jr. High... uggg.
Anyway back to Kindergarten.... he did great! He went in and sat down (even got to sit by Bowen from preschool) and when I said I was going to leave he said "OK mom... I am fine"... nothing at all like his first day of preschool .... which was heart wrenching. No... he was fine and as each year goes by he needs me a little less... which is what we want... right??!!
I sure do love this guy!

The local Rodeo
Last week was the annual Owyhee County rodeo... a 4 day rodeo held in Homedale. This year Jace was old enough to ride a sheep and he was soooo excited. We really had every intention of getting him on one before the rodeo so he could practice but we were just to busy. So Thursday night was his 1st time on a sheep.... and the poor little guy only rode about 2 seconds... but he loved every second of it. If he is anything like his dad (and he is exactly like his dad) he will be riding steers and bulls in the future.
My so super cute nephew.... Payton!!!!
A Trip to Nevada
I have been really bad about blogging lately... so I am a little behind.
A couple weeks ago we went to Nevada for the week to visit Josh's brother. We had such a good time.... and we got to go to this really cool little old ghost town called Bodie.. which was actually in California. We also went to a fish hatchery in Yerrington, NV. Mainly we just spent a lot of time relaxing, which was really nice.
