A horse in the alley

Yesterday I was in talking to my mother in law when I look out my kitchen window and see this....

Joshs cousin was riding by and the boys got to hop on and ride for a bit.

During the ride a drunk hispanic man came walking by and exclaimed... "Good to see all you Americans"... we smiled of course because what else do you do? Just as he walked by though my Mother in law and I saw the back of his pants and realized he had peed himself... he then saw the horse and exclaimed "I have never seen a horse before... where do you keep that thing?"... Josh told him the backyard (cuz you can't help but mess with a drunk) and he was quite fascinated by that response. The drunk man eventually went on his way after several minutes of looking at the horse and our backyard.

And on another note... Josh and I leave for Vegas tomorrow morning so I will have lots of stories I am sure.

A day with dad

On Friday the boys were out of school so Josh decided to go fishing.... we were getting all ready the night before when it dawned on us we had 9 puppies and a nursing mama who was gonna need let out every few hours...so one of us was not gonna be going. Since I have no clue how to load and unload the boat(Josh had me try backing it down to the dock once and let's just say after about 20 minutes of complete frustration from him I was not even 1/2 way to the dock) we knew it would be me who was staying. Besides Josh likes fishing a whole lot more then me.

So early Friday morning Josh and the boys took off to CJ Strike....

B-day party, Easter and another b-day party

On Saturday we had Ry's b-day party with the family... he had a great time!

And of course for Easter there was an Easter egg hunt where Ry got 1 egg.

And on Monday there was a party with his friends where they bowled 4 frames and had had enough (course it took 1 hour to do that)...maybe the park next year!

My baby is 4

Happy Birthday baby boy..... I love you so much!

My baby is turnin 4

My Riley Roo is turning 4... I cannot believe it! It literally feels like just a few months ago I had him... I had post partum depression after having him and was very consumed by it for the first month of his life, to the point I couldn't even hardly hold him. I have so much regret for that to this day... although it certainly wasn't something I did on purpose. Postpartum depression is a very real thing... I can vouch for that! But after I moved on from it and got "back to normal" I wondered if the way I was for the first month would hinder my relationship or my bond with him. I can assure you it hasn't... he is my boy through and through. He and I have an amazing bond... and although I love my children equally, Riley and I defenitely have something special. I am saddened by how fast he is growing and I am just trying to cherish every moment I have with my baby.

Now his birthday isn't actually until Monday... but today was the 1st of his 4 day birthday extravaganza. ( I mentioned in a another post that I go ALL out on my kids b-days... it is such a special day for me I want to make it that special for them.) So today we went to Chuck-e-cheese.... a tradition we have had since he was 1. We had a great time!!!

Tomorrow is b-day party #1 (the big one). More coming up on the b-day extravaganza!!

Easter Eggs

On Tuesday Ry had his Easter egg hunt at preschool... these kids were so cute trying to get the Easter eggs.... it was alot of fun!

Today the boys and I colored eggs here at the house..... but I have to be careful cuz I can eat hard boiled eggs as fast as I can color them... they are one of my favorites!

Payters comes to play

Today my super cute nephew Payton came and spent the afternoon with us. He and the boys had so much fun! I forgot what it is like to have a 1 year old and I miss it.... I would like to continually have babies and give them away when they reach 7. Not really.... well.... maybe.

I'm going back.....

To school!

I am finally gonna do it... I am finally going to get my RN. I got my letter yesterday from the college saying everything was good and I was accepted... now I just have to go in and take my placement test. I will start taking my first class in the fall... it will just be an online class!! It will take me 2 years to do my pre-req's (normally would only take 1 but it is gonna be a little slower with the family) and then 2 years to do the RN program... so if all goes well I will have my RN in 4 years!

I am quite nervous about this... but very excited!

Max and Kate plus 8 (plus 1 more)

I love the show Jon and Kate plus 8... but that is beside the point! Katey had her puppies this morning... at exactly 12:57 am (I actually think that is the exact time I was born) she delivered her first pup.... and then by 3:30 6 more followed. Josh and I were both exhausted and had to work this morning so we went to bed thinking 7 was gonna be it.... we woke up to 9 total. All completely black. There is 5 females and 4 males. And my good lord those things are noisy.


She is such a good mama... very protective of those little creatures. My older dog Kasey is quite infactuated with any small animal so she has been right there with Katey really wanting to help... but Katey has let her know she doesn't need the help. Poor old lady was robbed of her motherhood.
