A bundle of joy

My husbands sister had her anxiously awaited baby boy this morning sometime around 9:00 am(not for sure on the time). She was a few days over on her due date and was getting quite miserable. Her whole labor lasted only about 4-4 1/2 hours and she hade him completely natural... you go girl!!

Payton Boyd came into this world weighing 8 lbs 7 oz and has a nice head of brown hair. I went to visit and mom and dad sure looked proud!! Well mom looked rather exhausted but dad looked quite energetic.

Whew..... and some bowling!

Well I have made it without killing anyone! I am going into my 8th day of no smoking and it is getting much easier. Whether or not my husband could still love me was questionable there for a few days. I am absolutely astonished at how forgiving my family is. I was not a nice person.. in fact so not nice I had to send myself to bed early 3 nights in a row. But all is forgiven and I am smoke free!! Last time I quit I lasted about 4 months... I am determined to never take another puff!!!

On another note I took the boys bowling on Sat night so Josh could watch 3:10 to Yuma (impossible to watch a movie with the kids home). They had such a good time... Riley is still talking about throwing the ball down and hitting the "rolling pins". I am going to take them again on Saturday afternoon while Josh is at work.

I'm quitting....again!

So today I am quitting smoking... again! I am so tired of this nasty habit running my life. I am determined to quit smoking for good and NEVER pick up the habit again. So I am prepared today with everything I can think of to make it a little easier on me and Julie......

Playing in the snow

I know I have been terrible about blogging.... not because I don't enjoy it but because I really don't have the time. I know it is a lame excuse but it is very true!

We have had a lot of snow fall lately and my boys are LOVING it!!! They want to play in the snow all the time... even little Riley, his hands will be beat red from the cold but he is quite the little trucker, he won't let up.

Jace and Rileys aunt came by the other night and built snowmen with them (bless her heart, I HATE the snow). They built 4.... 1 for mom, dad and 2 boys, but the next day they were gone. That didn't stop Jace though he still went out the next day and stuck carrots in them for noses.. although by then they were just a big pile of snow with carrots sticking out of them.

Last weekend we went sledding, unfotunately I did not get any pics of sledding but did get one of Riley all bundled up in the car. This hill was HUGE and my boys just jumped on and away they went (there lack of fear really worries me). My friend and I tried to get on one tube together and needless to say I was thrown off about 1/2 way down the hill and slid quite a ways. I was quite happy though I didn't have to walk back up that HUGE hill, my friend however did.

Christmas 2007

The boys were so excited for Santa to come but at 7 in the morning I finally went and woke them up (whatever happened to not sleeping all night). Jace was really wanting Santa to bring him a bike.... he already has 3 so I told him Santa probably wouldn't bring him that. Instead he got a remote control car and Riley got a fire truck. They were so happy. I got the shoes and perfume I had been wanting so I was pretty happy myself!

We then went up to my mom and dads and had breakfast and opened gifts. My grandparents came by and I was so happy, I very seldom get to see them.

Then it was off to Joshs mom and dads where the kids got even more stuff... we played games and ate late into the night!

Sledding

We went sledding on Sunday.... we are so hllbilly, anytime we get a 1/2 inch of snow we are like "woohoo... lets go sledding", and then we basically sled in dirt! But we went and for all who know me they know I HATE to be cold, so I wasn't even going to go but I am glad I did because it was fun.

Jace has no fear he would go to the top of the highest hill and jump on his sled and go down without any hesitation. Rylan on the other hand went to the smallest hill.

I went down a couple times and it was alot of fun!

A Christmas Program

Jaces had his annual Christmas program on Friday night. I love watching these kids sing... they are soooo cute. One kid stood up there and cried the whole time while his dad sat in the crowd videotaping him and another kept throwing his bell and running and picking it up.

We had a great time and it was a little hard for me since this is Jaces last year in preschool!
